RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AWARD OF BID FOR AR -15 RIFLES
AND MAGAZINES TO OLYMPIC ARMS IN THE AMOUNT OF
$53,704.00; AND THE PURCHASE OF SLINGS TO C & G WHOLESALE
IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,870.00; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT
THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls advertised and requested bids for the
purchase of AR -15 rifles and accessories; and
WHEREAS, bids were received and publicly opened on April 24, 2003; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to purchase rifles and accessories for the
Police Department weapons arsenal.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
S ECTION 1 . Authorization is granted to award the bid for the purchase of one
hundred AR -15 rifles and additional magazines to Olympic Arms, in the amount of
$53,704.00; and the purchase of slings to C & G Wholesale, in the amount of
$1,870.00.
S ECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
