RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH HABITAT FOR
HUMANITY OF WICHITA FALLS TO FACILITATE THE CONDITIONS
FOR THE TRANSFER OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY AT 1006 NEFF
STREET, ALSO KNOWN AS LOT 12, BLOCK 5, HOMEWOOD
HEIGHTS, WICHITA FALLS, WICHITA COUNTY, TEXAS FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF NEW HOUSING, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE DEED TO TRANSFER TITLE:; FINDING
AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 272.001 of the TEXAS LOCAL
GOVERNMENT CODE the City of Wichita Falls may convey property without the
solicitation of bids, to non - profit entities for economic development programs authorized
by Title 1 of the Housing and Community Development Act; and,
WHEREAS, Habitat for Humanity of Wichita Falls desires to continue to construct
homes on the Eastside of Wichita Falls for the benefit of qualified low -to -mode rate -
income families.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
S ECTION 1 . The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the attached
special warranty deed to convey title on the following properties located in Wichita Falls,
Wichita County, Texas to Habitat for Humanity of Wichita Falls:
1 006 Neff
Lot, 12, Block 5, Homewood Heights.
S ECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
