A RESOLUTION NAMING THE WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS MULTI-
PURPOSE EVENTS CENTER EXHIBIT HALL THE RAY CLYMER
EXHIBIT HALL; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING
AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, for nearly forty years Ray Clymer has exhibited exceptional
leadership in the Wichita Falls Community; and
WHEREAS, the name, Ray Clymer, has become synonymous with economic
development in Wichita Falls; and
WHEREAS, Ray Clymer's philanthropy and fund raising assistance to numerous
charitable organizations in Wichita Falls have benefited all citizens; and
WHEREAS, the efforts of Ray Clymer have led to the creation of thousands of
jobs in Wichita Falls and the enhancement of the lives of all our citizens; and
WHEREAS, the Multi- Purpose Events Board has recommended that the Exhibit
Hall be named the Ray Clymer Exhibit Hall in recognition of his unparalleled
contributions to all citizens of Wichita Falls.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
S ECTION 1 . The Multi- Purpose Events Center Exhibit Hall is hereby named and
recognized as the Ray Clymer Exhibit Hall.
S ECTION 2 . The MPEC Board is authorized to provide appropriate signage
indicating that the MPEC Exhibit Hall has been named the Ray Clymer Exhibit Hall.
S ECTION 3 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
