RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, REJECTING THE BIDS FOR THE AIRFIELD
PAVEMENT IMPROVEMENT PROJECT AT KICKAPOO DOWNTOWN
AIRPARK; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls opened bids on June 30, 2003 for the
construction of airfield paving improvements at Kickapoo Downtown Airpark; and
WHEREAS, the apparent low bidder significantly exceeds the engineer's
estimate for this project; and
WHEREAS, the City staff recommends that the bid be rejected.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . The bid for the Airfield Pavement Improvement Project At Kickapoo
Downtown Airpark ( #03 -18) is hereby rejected.
SECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 5th day of August, 2003.
