RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE AMENDMENT TO THE PROPOSED
USE OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG)
FUNDS IN A PREVIOUSLY APPROVED CONSOLIDATED PLAN,
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, me City of Wichita Falls administers the Community Development
Block Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has held a Public Hearing to receive citizen input
and the City Manager and staff have recommended this amendment, and
WHEREAS, during a Public Hearing, the full City Council reviewed the
recommended amendment and approved the project in the Action Plan to the
Consolidated Plan.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT
SECTION 1 . The City Council of Wichita Falls, Texas, hereby approves and
adopts amendments to the Action Plan to the Consolidated Plan for the period of
October 1, 2004 to September 3Q 2005; such amendments will include budget
revisions allocating $75,000 to the Urban Homesteading Program, $25,000 to Child
Care, Inc. for daycare operations, $50,000 to Habitat for Humanity for infrastructure of a
new subdivision', $25,000 to Senior Citizens Services for home delivered meals
program; $307,407 50 to the City of Wichita. Falls Health Department facility expansion;
and $200,000 to Mill and Overlay street projects.
SECTION 2. The City Council authorizes the City Manager to execute any and
all contracts to implement the amendment.
SECTION 3 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open tome public as required by law.
