RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF FIFTEEN (15) CHEVROLET IMPALA POLICE PATROL VEHICLES FROM HERB EASLEY MOTORS IN THE AMOUNT OF $255,757.50, FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW. WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls advertised and requested bids for the purchase of fifteen police patrol vehicles; and WHEREAS, bids were received and publicly opened on January 23, 20047, and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to purchase fifteen (15) police patrol vehicles for the City's vehicle fleet. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT S 1 . Authorization is granted to award the bid for the purchase of fifteen (15) police patrol vehicles to the local bidder Herb Easley Motors, Wichita Falls, Texas in the amount of $255,757.50. SEC 2 . The City Council finds and determines that an award of bid to Herb Easley Motors, Wichita Falls, Texas offers the City the best combination of price and additional economic development opportunities for the City, including employment of residents and increased tax revenue. SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
