RESOLUTION APPROVING THE AMENDMENT TO THE PROPOSED
USE OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG)
FUNDS IN A PREVIOUSLY APPROVED CONSOLIDATED PLAN,
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls administers the Community Development
Block Grant Program, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has held a Public Hearing to receive citizen input
and the City Manager and staff have recommended this amendment, and
WHEREAS, during a Public Hearing, the full City Council has reviewed the
recommended amendment and approves the project in the Action Plan to the
Consolidated Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT
SECT ION 1. The City Council of Wichita Falls, Texas hereby approves and
adopts amendments to the Action Plan to the Consolidated Plan for the period October
1, 2003 to September 30, 2004, such amendments will include budget revisions
allocating $75,000 for a minor repair program; $60,000 to complete rehabilitation
project at the Zale Child Care Center; $50,000 to the Urban Homesteading Program,
$62,500 to construct utility and site improvements in conjunction with the proposed
affordable Green Briar Village Apartments, $35,000 to Habitat for Humanity to purchase
vacant lots, $20,000 to install sewer lines on BeBe Lane, $14,000 to continue the
administration of the Weed & Seed program, and $155,026.59 as part of the CDBG
financing for the City of Wichita Falls Health Department facility expansion.
SEC 2 . The City Council authori2:es the City Manager to execute any and
all contracts to implement the amendment.
SECTI 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
