RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF A 1,721 SQUARE FOOT
IRREGULAR SHAPED PARCEL OF LAND LOCATED BEHIND LOTS 12,
13, AND 14, BLOCK 4, SHEPHERDS GLEN, WICHITA FALLS, WICHITA
COUNTY, TEXAS, FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING
AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, a local owner /developer has requested the City sell an irregular
shaped parcel of land which can only be developed by the adjacent property owner,
which he is, and is in the best interest of the public to increase the tax base and
develop the area, and
WHEREAS, all affected City departments have been contacted and have
supported and approved this sale; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas deems it both
prudent and practical to the citizens of Wichita Falls and the taxing entities to sell the
parcel subject to a final re -plat of Lots 12, 13, and 14, Block 4, being filed within ninety
days.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT
SECTION 1 . That the 1,721 square feet parcel of land adjacent to Lots 12, 13,
and 14, Block 4, shown on the attached Map "A" and currently owned by the City of
Wichita Falls be sold as requested.
SECTION 2. That in consideration of the receipt of three thousand nine hundred
dollars ($3,900.00), this resolution shall authorize the City Manager to execute a special
warranty deed for the City's interest in the 1,721 square foot parcel. The deed shall be
executed conditioned upon the developer filing an approved final re -plat of the property
in the records of the Wichita County Clerk. This filing shall occur within ninety (90) days
of the date of approval of this resolution. This resolution shall be void and have no
effect if said re -plat is not approved and filed within the stipulated time period.
SECTION 3 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
