RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF GRASSHOPPER
LAWN MOWERS THROUGH THE TEXAS BUILDING AND
PROCUREMENT COMMISSION STATE CONTRACT, FROM MORIDGE
MANUFACTURING, INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF $30,810.00; FINDING
AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, Sections 271.081- 271.083 of the LOCAL GOVERNMENT CODE, and
Sections 2155.202 and 2175.001 of the TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODE, Title 10, Subtitle D,
provide the egal authority for local governments to participate in the Texas Building and
Procurement Commission Purchasing Cooperative, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls has passed a resolution
approving the participation in such cooperative agreements, and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to purchase three (3) Model 428D
Grasshopper riding lawn mowers. and
WHEREAS, it is in the City's best interest to purchase through the Texas Building
and Procurement Commission State Contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT
SE CTIO N 1 . Authorization is hereby granted for the purchase of three (3)
Grasshopper Model 428D mowers from Moridge Manufacturing, Inc., in the amount of
$30,810.00.
SE C1 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
