RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE PUCHASE OF A 1250 GPM
PUMPER FIRE TRUCK FROM MARTIN APPARATUS (PIERCE) IN l "HE
AMOUNT OF $295,000 00 THROUGH THE BUY BOARD PURCHASING
COOPERATIVE, FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING
AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, local governments are authorized by Chapter 791, at seq., The
Interlocal Cooperation Act of the Government Code, to agree with other local
governments to form purchasing cooperatives; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls has passed a resolution
approving the participation in such cooperative agreements, and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to purchase a 1250 GPM Pumper fire truck.
and
WHEREAS, it is in the City's beat interest to purchase through the Buy Board
Purchasing Cooperative.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT
SECTION 1, Authorization be granted to purchase a 1250 GPM Pumper fire
truck from Martin Apparatus (Pierce) in the amount of $295,000.00,
SECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
