RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF SIX (6) HARLEY-
DAVIDSON POLICE MOTORCYCLES FROM RED RIVER HARLEV-
DAVIDSON IN THE AMOUNT OF 5115800.00, WITH AN OPTION TO
PURCHASE AN ADDITIONAL SIX (6) MOTORCYCLES PENDING
FUNDING IN THE 2005 -2006 BUDGET', FINDING AND DETERMINING
THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED
WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW_
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls advertised and requested bids for the
purchase of six (6) police motorcycles; and
WHEREAS, bids were received and publicly opened on October 18, 2004; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to purchase six (6) police motorcycles at
this time.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT
SECTION 1 . Authorization is granted to award the bid for the purchase of six (6)
police motorcycles to Red River Harley- Davidson in the amount of $115,800,00, with an
option to purchase an additional six (6) motorcycles pending approval of necessary
funding in the 2005 -06 budget.
SECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
