RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AWARDING BID AND CONTRACT FOR THE 2005
STREET AND PARKING LOT REHABILITATION PROJECT, CWF05-
100-24, AND APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 1; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has advertised for bids for the construction
of the 2005 Street and Parking Lot Rehabilitation Project, CWF05- 100 -24; and
WHEREAS, it is found that the lowest responsible bidder is Zack Burkett Co.,
who made a unit price bid with an estimated total of $1,695,483.00; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 deducts $176,043.00 and zero days from the
contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . Said unit price bid, as amended by Change Order No. 1, of Zack
Burkett Co., with an estimated total of $1,519,440.00 is hereby accepted, and the City
Manager is authorized to execute a contract for the City with said Contractor for the
construction of such project.
SECTION 2. . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
