RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 3 TO THE LAKE
KEMP RAW WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM PROJECT, CWF04- 544 -24, IN
THE AMOUNT OF $35,448.54; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT
THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls entered a unit price contract with S.J. Louis
Construction with an estimated total cost of $8,961,740.85; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 deducted $51,925.00 from the contract, for a
revised cost of $8,909,815.85; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 added $26,794.76 to the contract, for a revised
cost of $8,936,610.61; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 3 will add $35,448.54 and zero days to the
contract, for a revised cost of $8,972,059.15; and
WHEREAS, the City Staff has reviewed all aspects of this Change Order and
feels that it is in the City's best interest to approve.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . Change Order No. 3 for the Lake Kemp Raw Water Supply System
Project, CWF04- 544 -24, is hereby approved and the City Manager is authorized to
make amendments to this contract.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
