RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, APPOINTING A CITY MANAGER FOR THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING
AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls operates as a Council /Manager form of
government; and,
WHEREAS, Section 56 of the City Charter authorizes the City Council to appoint
the City Manager.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . Darron Leiker is hereby appointed as the City Manager for the City
of Wichita Falls.
SECTION 2 . The Mayor is authorized to execute a Professional Services
Agreement with the appointee.
SECTION 3 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
