RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF THE HAZMATID SYSTEM FROM SMITHS
DETECTION IN THE AMOUNT OF $49,600.00. FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT
THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls receives Homeland Security Funding for
local preparedness of Weapons of Mass Destruction', and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to purchase The HasMatlD system for the
Identification of substances that could potentially be hazardous to the Citizens of
Wichita Falls; and
WHEREAS, this purchase Is exempt from the formal bid process as outlined in
the Local Government Code. §252.022,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED. BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . Authorization be granted for the purchase of The HazMatlD system
from Smiths Detection in the amount of $49,600.00.
SECTION 2 . It Is hereby officially fountl and determined that the meeting at
which [his resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
