RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AWARD OF BID FOR THE CITY'S
ESTIMATED ANNUAL REQUIREMENT OF WATER METERS TO AMCO
WATER METERING SYSTEMS, INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF
$106,360.00, AND TO HERSEY METER COMPANY IN THE AMOUNT
OF $6,570.00; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls advertised and requested bids for the
purchase of the City's estimated annual requirement of disc type water meters, and
WHEREAS, bids were received and publicly opened on April 26, 2004: and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to purchase water meters for the City's
Water Distribution Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE'. CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SEC 1 . Authorization is granted to award the bid for the purchase of 518 ", 1"
and 2" water meters to AMCO Water Metering Systems, Inc., in the amount of
$106,360.00, and to Hersey Meter Company for the 1 -1/2" water meter in the amount of
$6,570.00.
SEC 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
