RE- SOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, ACCEPTING A GRANT FOR CURBSIDE RECYCLING
CONTAINERS IN THE AMOUNT OF $15,000.00; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls desires to expand its recycling effort in the
area of lawn waste, and
WHEREAS, in order to facilitate expansion of this program a grant application
has been made to Nortex Council of Governments, and
WHEREAS, the purpose of this grant was for the purposes of purchasing
curbside lawn waste recycling containers for use by the automated collection system,
and
WHEREAS, this grant has been made in the amount of $15,000.00 through the
Nortex Council of Governments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT
SECT 1 . The referenced grant is hereby accepted in the amount of
$15,000.00 for the purchase of curbside lawn waste recycling containers.
SE CTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
