RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
FIVE (5) YEAR LEASE AGREEMENT FOR A PARCEL OF LAND BEING
BETWEEN LOT 1A AND LOT 33, BLOCK C, LAKE KICKAPOO NORTH,
ALSO KNOWN AS WILSON POINT, CONSISTING OF
APPROXIMATELY 21,815.98 SQUARE FEET (0.50 ACRES); FINDING
AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City has received a request from current: lessees adjacent to the
City owned property known as Wilson Point to lease said City owned property located
at Lake Kickapoo; and
WHEREAS, the property requested is currently vacant and undeveloped.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . The City Manager is authorized to enter into a lease with the
current leaseholders of Lot 33, Block 3, for the land lying between Lots 1A and 33,
Block C, Lake Kickapoo — North, also known as Wilson Point. The term of the lease
shall be for 5 years from the date of signature and the amount will be $1,000.00 per
year. The lease will be reviewed prior to its expiration and will have the ability to be
increased up to 30% at the time of renewal.
SECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
