RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AWARDING BID AND CONTRACT FOR PHASE II
AIRFIELD IMPROVEMENTS AT KICKAPOO DOWNTOWN AIRPARK;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls desires to reconstruct runway 17 -35 and
Taxiway A, make electrical and lighting improvements and associated drainage
improvements at Kickapoo Downtown Airpark; and
WHEREAS, Federal Aviation Administration Airport Improvement Program
federal entitlement moneys are available to the City of Wichita Falls to fund 90% of the
cost for this project and sufficient City airport funds are available to fund the additional
10% of the project cost.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . Said Base Bid and Add Alternates 1, 4 and 5 of Kanza
Construction, Inc. in the amount of $3,105,517.00 is hereby accepted, and the City
Manager is authorized to execute a contract for the City with said Contractor for the
improvements outlined above at Kickapoo Downtown Airpark.
SECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
