RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR
RENOVATION OF THE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT TO MARVIN GROVES
ELECTRIC COMPANY IN THE AMOUNT OF $55,723.80; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, Local Government Code Subchapter G, Section 271.103 allows a
local government to purchase goods and services available under Federal supply
schedules of the United States General Services Administration (GSA) and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to renovate and relocate the passenger
security screening area and passenger waiting area, correct drainage problems in the
main corridor and install partitions in restrooms; and
WHEREAS, it is in the City's best interest to contract through the General
Services Administration Federal Supply Contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . Authorization is granted to award contract for the renovation of the
Municipal Airport to Marvin Groves Electric in the amount of $55,723.80.
SECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
