RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, TO APPROVE AN AGREEMENT WITH
SOUTHWESTERN BELL TELEPHONE, L.P. FOR RELOCATION OF
TELEPHONE CABLES AFFECTED BY THE FAITH VILLAGE DRAINAGE
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, PHASE 2 AND 3; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls is required to relocate telephone cables to
facilitate the construction of the Faith Village Drainage Improvement Project, Phase 2
and 3; and
WHEREAS, the relocation work will be performed by Southwestern Bell
Telephone, L.P.; and
WHEREAS, the City shall pay Southwestern Bell Telephone, L.P. for its cost
incurred that is estimated to be $92,312.97; and
WHEREAS, staff has reviewed and is recommending the agreement with
Southwestern Bell Telephone, L.P.; and
WHEREAS, the Council has examined the proposed agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . The proposed agreement with Southwestern Bell Telephone, L.P.
for telephone cable adjustments to facilitate the construction of the Faith Village
Drainage Improvement Project, Phase 2 and 3 is hereby approved. The City Manager
is authorized to execute the agreement for the City of Wichita Falls and to make a
payment of $92,312.97 to Southwestern Bell Telephone, L.P.
SECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
