RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AN EXPENDITURE BY THE WICHITA
FALLS POLICE DEPARTMENT FROM THE SEIZED FUNDS ACCOUNT
FOR A ONE -TIME EXPENDITURE OF $21,962.83; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls Police (Department is awarded confiscated
funds; and,
WHEREAS, certain programs and procurements may be funded entirely by the
seized funds account; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls Police Department has funding available in
the amount of $21,962.83 in the seized funds account; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to authorize this expenditure.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS TEXAS. THAT:
SECTION 1 . The expenditure of funds in the amount of $21,962.83 is hereby
authorized for expenses necessary for the procurement of necessary items needed for
Police Department equipment and supplies.
SECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
