RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, TO APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 TO AN
AGREEMENT WITH SOUTHWESTERN BELL TELEPHONE, L.P. FOR
RELOCATION OF TELEPHONE CABLES AFFECTED BY THE FAITH
VILLAGE DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, PHASE I; FINDING
AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls is required to relocate telephone cables to
facilitate the construction of the Faith Village Drainage Improvement Project, Phase I;
and
WHEREAS, an agreement with Southwestern Bell Telephone, L.P. to perform
the relocation work is in effect; and
WHEREAS, the City shall pay Southwestern Bell Telephone, L.P. an additional
amount of $17,902.81 on the original estimate of $96,024.61; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SE CTION 1 . The proposed Change Order No. 1 top the agreement with
Southwestern Bell Telephone, L.P. for telephone cable adjustments to facilitate the
construction of the Faith Village Drainage Improvement Project, Phase I is hereby
approved. The City Manager is authorized to execute the Change Order No. 1 for the
City of Wichita Falls and to make a payment of $17,902.81 to Southwestern Bell
Telephone, L.P.
SE CTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
