RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, CONFIRMING APPOINTME =NTS TO THE
FIREFIGHTERS' AND POLICE OFFICERS' CIVIL SERVICE
COMMISSION; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Firefighters' and Police Officers' Civil Service Commission is
established by state law, specifically, Section 143.006 of the TEXAS LOCAL GOVERNMENT
CODE; and,
WHEREAS, it is a three - member board, whose members are appointed by the
City Manager, with confirmation by the City Council; and,
WHEREAS, the City Manager requests the confirmation of the appointment of
Mr. Robert Monaghan to the Firefighters' and Police Officers' Civil Service Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . The appointment of Robert Monaghan to the
Firefighters' and Police Officers' Civil Service Commission is hereby confirmed.
SECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
