RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF FOUR (4) EACH
4 -DOOR SEDANS THROUGH THE BUYBOARD PURCHASING
COOPERATIVE, FROM PHILPOTT MOTOR COMPANY, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $51,240.00', FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN
TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls advertised and requested bids for the
purchase of four (4) each 4 -door sedans - , and
WHEREAS, bids were received and publicly opened on December 30, 2004', and
WHEREAS, the City is authorized by Chapter 791, of seq., the Intedocal
Cooperation Act of the GOVERNMENT CODE, to participate in purchasing cooperatives:
and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to purchase four (4) each 4 -door sedans for
the City's vehicle fleet; and
WHEREAS, it is in the City's best interest to purchase through the BuyBoard
Purchasing Cooperative.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . Authorization is granted to purchase four (4) each 4door sedans
from Philpott Motor Company, in the amount of $51,240.00.
SECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
