RESOLUTION, AUTHORIZING AN INCREASE OF THE ANNUAL. LEASE
AMOUNT ON TEN (10) GARDEN LEASE LOTS AT LAKE: ARROWHEAD
AND THREE (3) AT LAKE KICKAPOO TO $200.00 FOR A PERIOD OF
FIVE YEARS BEGINNING ON JUNE 1, 2004 AND ENDING MAY 30,
2009 FOR LAKE ARROWHEAD AND OCTOBER 1, 2004 THROUGH
SEPTEMBER 30, 2009 FOR LAKE KICKAPOO; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BYLAW.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 81 -92 dated May 19, 1992 established a policy for
leasing for leasing city held properties for recreational and /or gardening for an annual
fee of $120.00 for five years; and
WHEREAS, the lease rate has never been reviewed for increase or change; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to increase the lease rate as accomplished
by periodic review.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . The annual lease rate for garden lease lots at Lake Arrowhead and
Lake Kickapoo, currently leased for $120.00 shall increase to $200.00 per year for the
next five year period beginning on June 1, 2004 and ending May 30, 2009 at Lake
Arrowhead and October 1, 2004 through September 30, 2009 at Lake Kickapoo. The
annual payment will be due on or before June 1, 2004 at Lake Arrowhead and
September 30 each year at Lake Kickapoo.
SECTION 2 . The annual lease rate for garden lease lots at Lake Arrowhead and
Lake Kickapoo, that are considered buildable (23,000 square feet) will be increased to
the clurrent new generation lease price ($600.00).
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
