RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPLY FOR
A FISCAL YEAR 2005 BYRNE MEMORIAL FUND JUSTICE
ASSISTANCE GRANT (JAG) PROGRAM AWARD AND ENTERING INTO
AN AGREEMENT WITH WICHITA COUNTY, WITH WHOM THE CITY
MUST SHARE THE AWARD, TO ADMINISTER THE ALLOCATION OF
THE JAG PROGRAM AWARD: FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT
THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED 'NAB
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City is eligible to apply for a Byrne Memorial Fund JAG Program
award in the amount of $95,610 00 which must be shared with Wichita County and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to enter into an agreement with Wichita County to
administer the allocation of the funds and to be responsible for the financial reporting of
the JAG Program awarq and
WHEREAS, the City would receive for use by the Police Department $47,805.(10.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT
SECTION i . The City Manager is authorized to apply for the $95,610.00 Byrne
Memorial Fund Justice Assistance Grant Program Award', and
SEC TION The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with
Wichita County to administer the allocation of the award and to be responsible for the
financial reporting of the funds. It is hereby officially found and determined that the
meeting at which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
