RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, APPROVING A CHANGE ORDER TO THE PHASE II
AIRFIELD IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT AT KICKAPOO DOWNTOWN
AIRPARK, CWF 04 -19, IN THE AMOUNT OF $280,553.00 AND 45
CALENDAR DAYS; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING
AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, on June 15, 2004, the City of Wichita Falls awarded a contract to
Kanza Construction for the Phase II Al ld Improvement Project at Kickapoo
Downtown Airpark in the amount of $3,105,51] 00 to reconstruct runway 17-35 and
Taxiway A, make electrical and lighting improvements, and associated drainage
improvements and
WHEREAS, Change Order No 4 would add $280,533.00 and an additional 45
calendar days to the contract; and
WHEREAS, the City staff and project engineer have reviewed all aspects of this
Change Order and feel that it is in the City's best interest to approve; and
WHEREAS, Federal Aviation Administration Airport Improvement Program
federal entitlement moneys are available to the City of Wichita Falls to fund 95% of the
cost for this project, and sufficient City airport funds are available to fund the additional
5% of the project cost.
NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT.
SECTION 1 . Change Order No 4 for the Phase II Airfield Improvement Project
at Kickapoo Downtown Airpark CWF 04 -19, Is hereby approved, and the City Manager
is authorized to make amendments to this contract.
SECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which his resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
