RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) FLAIL
MOWER AND ONE (1) BOOM MOWER THROUGH THE BUYBOARD
COOPERATIVE PURCHASING PROGRAM FROM TIGER MOWERS, IN
THE AMOUNT OF $71,371 38, FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT
THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, local governments are authorized by Chapter 791, at seq., The
Interlocal Cooperation Act of the Government Code, to agree with other local
governments to form purchasing cooperatives; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls has passed a resolution
approving the participation in such cooperative agreements; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to purchase tractor /mowers, and
WHEREAS, it is in the City's best interest to purchase through the BuyBoard
Purchasing Cooperative,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT
SECTION 1 . Authorization is granted to purchase one (1) Flail mower and one
(1) boom mower from Tiger Mowers, in the amount of $71,371.38.
SECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required bylaw
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 5th day of April 2005.
