RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AN APPLICATION TO THE WICHITA
FALLS AREA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION FOR A TWENTY
PASSENGER BUS FOR SENIOR ACTIVITIES OF THE FIFTY PLUS
ZONE.; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH
THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Fifty Plus Zone at the Recreation Center is growing in
membership; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City to provide the membership with expanded
recreational opportunities, and
WHEREAS, a bus with para transit (wheelchair) equipment and air conditioning
will significantly increase the recreational opportunities for the Fifty Plus Zone members
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT
SECTION 1 . The City Manager is hereby authorized to submit an application W
the Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation for a twenty passenger bus for use by
the members of the Fifty Plus Zone.
SECTI 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law_
