RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AWARD OF BID FOR THE PURCHASE
OF SPRING FLOWERS TO BEREND BROTHERS IN THE AMOUNT OF
$13,011.78; ROCKHILL GREENHOUSE FARMS IN THE AMOUNT OF
$10,620.90 AND H & H FARMS IN THE AMOUNT OF $3,183.31,
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls advertised and requested bids for the
purchase of 37,000 spring flowers; and
WHEREAS, bids were received and publicly opened on December 4, 2003; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to purchase flowers for the beautification of
parks and medians throughout the City
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SE CTION 1 . Authorization is granted to award the bid for spring flowers to
Berend Brothers in the amount of $13,011.78, Rockhill Greenhouse Farms in the
amount of $10,620.90 and H & H Farms in the amount of $3,183.31.
SE CTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
