RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CIT OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) 1 -TON
CAB & CHASSIS AND TWO (2) 1 -TON TRUCKS WITH BODIES FROM
HERB EASLEY MOTORS IN THE AMOUNT OF $77 500.00. FINDING
AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls advertised and requested bids for the
purchase of 1 -ton trucks', and
WHEREAS, bids were received and publicly opened on March 4, 2005', and
WHEREAS. the City Council desires to purchase three (3) 1 -ton trucks for the
City's vehicle fleet.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT
S ECTION 1 . The City Council finds and determines that an award of bid to Herb
Easley Motors, Wichita Falls, Texas offers the City the best combination of price and
additional economic development opportunities for the City, including employment of
residents and increased lax revenue.
S ECTION 2 . Authorization is granted to award the bid for the purchase of three
(3) 1 -ton trucks to the local bidder Herb Easley Motors, in the amount of $77,500.00
S ECTION 3 . It Is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
