Res 078-2005 5/17/2005RESOLUTION NO RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, TO APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 TO THE 2004 PUMP REPLACEMENT PROJECT, CWF04- 550 -16 IN THE AMOUNT OF $10,662.80 AND 30 CALENDAR DAYS; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW. WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls entered a unit price contract with Garcia Construction, Co. with the estimated total cost of $468,900.00; and WHEREAS, Change Order No 1 would add $10,622.80.00 to the contract for a revised cost of $479,562.80 and an additional 30 calendar days, and WHEREAS, the City staff has reviewed all aspects of this Change Order and feels that it is in the City's best Interest to approve NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT SECTION 1 . Change Order No 1 for the 2004 Pump Replacement Project, CWF04- 550 -16 is hereby approved and the City Manager is authorized to make amendments to this contract. SECTION 2 . It Is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law. PASSED AND APPROVED this the 17th day of May 2005.
