RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AWARD OF BID FOR DEMOLITION OF
HAZARDOUS STRUCTURES TO MOTE, INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF
$55,572.00; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls advertised and requested bids for the
demolition of hazardous structures; and
WHEREAS, bids were received and publicly opened on April 8, 2005; and
WHEREAS, A & R Demolition, the originally awarded contractor, has refused to
perform the contract, and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to contract for the demolition of various
hazardous structures.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . Authorization is granted to award bid for the demolition of
hazardous structures to Mote, Inc., the second low bidder on fifteen (15) properties, in
the amount of $55,572.00.
SECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
