RESOLUTION TO AWARD BID AND CONTRACT
FOR THE 2004 CDBG STREET REHABILITATION
PROJECT (CWF04- 204 -14) AND APPROVE CHANGE
ORDER NO. 1; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT
THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTUION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has advertised for bids for the construction
of the 2004 CDBG Street Rehabilitation Project (CWF04- 204 -14); and
WHEREAS, it is found that the lowest responsible bidder is Zack Burkett Co.
who made a unit price bid with an estimated total of $335,005.40; and
WHEREAS, corrections and modifications are desired and are reflected in
Change Order No. 1, making an overall deduction to the contract amount by
$112,449.50, revising the contract amount of $222,555.90.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT
SECTION 1 , Said unit price bid of Zack Burkett Co., with an estimated total of
$222,555.90 is hereby accepted and approved, and the City Manager is authorized to
execute a contract for the City with said Contractor for the construction of such project.
SECTI 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
PASSED AND APPROVED this, the 20" day of July, 2004.
