Ordinance Of The City Council Of The City Of Wichita Falls, Texas,
Amending Chapters 106 and 48 of the Code Of Ordinances Of The
City Of Wichita Falls to modify the City's Industrial Wastewater
Discharge Permit Fees
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that industrial wastewater discharge permit
fees are being increased by this ordinance to an amount that is less than the cost of
administering and enforcing the wastewater discharge permit program; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the fees currently located in Chapter 106,
Utilities will be easier to access by the public if they are located in Chapter 48, Fees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
1. Section 106-922 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Wichita Falls is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 106-922. Wastewater discharge permit fees.
(a) Wastewater discharge permit fees shall be fixed according to the schedule
contained in Code of Ordinances Chapter 48.
(b) The rates established in subsection (a) of this section are for a permit issued
for a period of one year. The control authority may prorate the amounts for
permits with shorter durations or may multiply the amounts by the appropriate
factor for multiyear permits. Unless otherwise designated on the permit, all
permits expire at 12:00 midnight on December 31 of the designated year."
2. Chapter 48, Article VIII of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Wichita Falls
is hereby amended by adding by adding the following divisions and sections thereto:
"Sec.48-82. Reserved.
DIVISION 2. WASTEWATER DISCHARGE FEES
Sec. 48-83. Wastewater Discharge Permit Fees:
There shall be charged the following fees for permits issued by the Wichita Falls/Wichita
County Local Public Health District under Chapter 106, Article VII. Regulations for
Disposal of Industrial Waste:
(a) Category 1 Metal finishers $2,200
(b) Category 2 Centralized Waste $2,000
(c) Categary 3 Steam/Electric Generation $1,100
(d) Category 4 Electroplating $2,100
(e) Category 5 Laundry $1,000
(� Category 6 Non-classified $1,000
(g) Category 7 Glass Manufacturing $1,000
(h) Category 8 Non-significant Industries $ 800"
