RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AWARD OF BID FOR THE PURCHASE
OF FOUR 35-FOOT LOW-FLOOR BUSES TO GILLIG CORPORATION
IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,338,144.00; FINDING AND DETERMINING
THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED
WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls advertised and requested bids for the
purchase of four (4) 35-foot low-floor buses; and
WHEREAS, bids were received and publicly opened on December 5, 2008; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to purchase four (4) 35-foot low-floor buses
. for the Public Transportation Division's fleet.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Authorization is granted to award the bid for the purchase of four
(4) 35-foot low-floor buses to Gillig Corporation in the amount of $1,338,144.00
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
