RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE 2008-2009 BUDGET OF THE
WICHITA FALLS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION FOR
PROJECTS RELATED TO PRATT WHITNEY CANADA, COMMUNITY
WIDE MARKETING AND A NEW MISSION AT SHEPPARD AIR FORCE
BASE; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH
THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, The Wichita Falls Economic Development Corporation (WFEDC)
met on January 9, 2009; and
WHEREAS, The WFEDC is recommending the expenditure of $450,000 for Pratt
Whitney Canada for a water jet stripping system and related improvements; and
WHEREAS, The WFEDC is recommending the expenditure of $50,000 for a
community wide marketing program; and
WHEREAS, The WFEDC is recommending $450,000 for improvements to
Sheppard Air Force Base for a cyber training mission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The 2008-2009 Budget of the Wichtia Falls Economic Development
Corporation is hereby amended in the amount of $950,000 for these three projects.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
