RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AN EXPENDITURE BY THE WICHITA
FALLS POLICE DEPARTMENT FROM THE SEIZED FUNDS ACCOUNT
FOR A ONE-TIME EXPENDITURE OF $8,500.00 FOR THE PURCHASE
OF A UPS BACKUP SYSTEM AND INSTALLATION OF THE WIRELESS
ACCESS POINTS FOR THE NEW DIGITAL CAMERA SYSTEM,
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls Police Department is awarded confiscated
funds; and,
WHEREAS, certain programs and procurements may be funded entirely or
partially by the seized funds account; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls Police Department has funding available in
the amount of $8,500.00 in the seized funds account; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to authorize this expenditure.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The expenditure of funds in the amount of $8,500.00 is hereby
authorized for the procurement of a UPS backup system and installation of the wireless
access points for the new digital camera system.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
