RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, APPROVING AMENDMENTS TO THE PROPOSED
USE OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG)
FUNDS IN A PREVIOUSLY APPROVED CONSOLIDATED PLAN
REGARDING DEMOLITION, CLEARANCE AND ENVIRONMENTAL
REVIEWS OF FLOOD-DAMAGED HOMES, WATERLINE
REPLACEMENTS, AND EMERGENCY AND MINOR REPAIR
PROGRAMS; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls administers the Community Development
Block Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has held finro Public Hearings to receive citizen input
and the City Manager and staff have recommended this amendment; and
WHEREAS, during the Public Hearings, the full City Council reviewed the
recommended amendment and approved the project in the Action Plan to the
Consolidated Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Council of Wichita Falls, Texas, hereby approves and
adopts amendment to the Action Plan for the period of October 1, 2008 to September
30, 2009 that is part of the Consolidated Plan. Such amendment will consist of budget
revision reallocating $405,384.97 for Demolition and Clearance of Flood-damaged
Homes ($65,000), related Environmental Reviews ($7,500), Waterline Replacements
($300,000), and Emergency ($10,961.32) and Minor ($21,963.25) Repair Programs,
SECTION 2. The City Council authorizes the City Manager to execute any and
all contracts to implement the amendment.
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
