RESOLUTION AMENDING FEES FOR THE ANIMAL CONTROL
PROGRAM IN THE WICHITA FALLS-WICHITA COUNTY PUBLIC
HEALTH DISTRICT; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN
TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Health District perForms animal control services for the citizens
of Wichita Falls, and
WHEREAS, the fees for said services have remained the same since 2004,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The fees charged by the Health District Animal Control Program
shall be established as follows: annual animal license fee for neutered animal $10.00,
three year neutered animal $20.00; annual license fee for not neutered animal $20.00,
three year not neutered animal $55.00; duplicate license $5.00; reapplication fee,
$15.00; annual vicious dog license $55. vicious dog three year 150.00; Annual permit
fees for fowl $20.00; livestock $30.00; reapplication $15.00; pet shop $85.00; riding
school or stable $85.00; grooming shop $55.00; zoological park $115.00; circus
$115.00; performing animal exhibition $115.00; equine recreational rides $115.00;
potbellied pigs $30.00; feral cat colony $10.00; feral cat colony - non profit $8.00; pet
fanciers neutered animals $30.00; pet fanciers not neutered $55.00; foster home $30.00
and FFA/4-H $10.00. Annual kennel permits for 5 to 14 dogs or cats $55.00, 15 to 49
dogs or cats $110.00, 50 or more dogs or cats $165.00. Disposal fees shall be
established as follows: dead animal $10.00 each; live, owned animal $10.00 each; and
livestock $55.00 each.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
