RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A FIVE PERCENT (15%) INCREASE OF THE
ANNUAL LEASE AMOUNT ON 174 LAKE KICKAPOO LEASES WITH REVIEW
DATES IN 2009 FOR AN ADDITIONAL PERIOD OF FIVE YEARS WITH THE
NEXT REVIEW DATES IN 2014. FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, Resolution 73a-94 established a policy for re-leasing Lake Kickapoo
lots with the lease agreement designating a five year review and adjustment of the
annual lease rate; and
WHEREAS, the current lease rates ranging from $600.00 to $1,235 is set to
expire on these leases as of September 30, 2009 and raising the lease rate to reflect an
increase of 15% annually conforms to the rates established for the new generation
leases adopted through the passing of Resolution 77-2001 dated June 28, 2001.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The annual lease rate for lease lots at Lake Arrowhead, currently
leased for $600.00 to $1,235 shall increase to $690.00 to $1,420.00 per year for the
next five year period beginning on June 1, 2009 and September 30, 2009. The annual
payment will remain due as indicated on the lease agreement.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
