RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AWARDING A BID FOR A FIVE-YEAR CAPITAL LEASE
TO SUNTRUST EQUIPMENT FINANCE & LEASING CORPORATION
FOR A FIRE LADDER TRUCK; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT
THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, on January 20, 2009, the City Council approved the purchase of a
Fire Ladder Truck in the amount of $916,548.04; and,
WHEREAS, the City desires to enter into a capital lease for the financing of this
purchase to reimburse the General Fund and spread the cost of the equipment over a
five year period; and,
WHEREAS, the City solicited bids from qualified financial institutions for this
capital lease; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to approve the low bid submitted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. An award of bid is hereby made to SunTrust Equipment Finance &
Leasing Corporation for a five-year capital lease in the principal amount of $916,548.04
to finance a Fire Ladder Truck.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officiatly found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
