Resolution Authorizing The Purchase Of Eight Refuse Truck Cabs &
Chassis From Bruckner's Mack In The Amount Of $836,536, Six
Service Bodies from Heil of Texas via The BuyBoard Purchasing
Cooperative In The Amount Of $564,345, and Two Service Bodies
From Equipment Southwest, Inc. via The BuyBoard Purchasing
Cooperative In The Amount Of $147,636.
WHEREAS, Bruckner's Mack was the lowest responsible bidder for Refuse Truck
Cabs & Chassis, in the amount of $836,536
WHEREAS, local governments are authorized by Chapter 791, et seq., the
Interlocal Cooperation Act of the Government Code, to agree with other local
governments to form purchasing cooperatives, and the City of Wichita Falls participates
in the Buyboard Purchasing Cooperative agreements; and
WHEREAS, it is in the City's best interest to purchase the refuse service bodies
through the BuyBoard Purchasing Cooperative.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The purchase of eight refuse truck cabs & chassis is awarded to Bruckner's Mack
in the amount of $836,536; the purchase of six service bodies is authorized from Heil of
Texas via the Buyboard purchasing cooperative in the amount of $564,345; and the
purchase of two service bodies is authorized from Equipment Southwest, Inc. via the
Buyboard Purchasing Cooperative in the amount of $147,636. The City Manager is
authorized to execute all documents necessary to purchase the aforesaid items from
these entities in accordance with the bid documents and purchase specifications.
