Resolution Awarding Bid For The Purchase Of Four 35-Foot Low-Floor
Buses To Gillig Corporation In The Amount Of $1,338,144.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls accepted American Recovery and
Reinvestment Act funding totaling $1,770,192 for the purchase of four 35-Foot low-floor
buses and other transit capital resources; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls advertised and requested bids for the
purchase of four 35-foot low-floor buses; and
WHEREAS, bids were received and publicly opened on April 9, 2009, and Gillig
Corporation was the only bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City of Wichita Falls is authorized to accept the bid submitted by Gillig,
Corporation for the purchase of four 35-foot low floor buses in the amount of
$1,338,144, and the City Manager is authorized to execute a contract, in a form
approved by the City Attorney, with said company for this equipment in accordance with
the bid specifications.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 21st day of April, 2009.
