Resolution Authorizing Tommy Swanson Oil Co., Inc. To Conduct Oil
Drilling Activity On A 90.52 Acre Tract Of Land Located At 2505 lowa
Park Road And Establishing Conditions For Said Activity
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has reviewed this proposal
and recommends approval of Case # C 09-16 with conditions allowing for oil drilling on
a vacant lot located at 2505 lowa Park Road; and
WHEREAS, the City Council concurs with the Commission's recommendation to
approve the request for oil drilling with conditions at 2502 lowa Park Road.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Tommy Swanson Oil Co., Inc. is hereby granted approval for oil drilling activity at
2505 lowa Park Road, which is depicted as the tract labeled "RMU" on the map
attached as Attachment "A", with the following conditions:
1. All drilling mud shalt be removed from the slush pits upon completion of
the drilling of the well.
2. The slush pits shall be bermed to an elevation above the 100-year
Floodplain elevation and shall be constructed to prohibit stormwater from
entering the pits.
3. Stormwater control measures must be in place during the drilling and
completion process of the well to prohibit any stormwater contamination
from exiting the site.
