Resolution Authorizing The City Manager To Contact The Owners Of
The Hawk Ridge Golf Course To Determine Their Interest In Selling
Property And Obtaining An Appraisal Of Said Property To Determine
Its Fair Market Value
WHEREAS, the City may be interested in the purchase of land and building
improvements known as the Hawk Ridge Golf Course for development of a City park;
WHEREAS, the property is no longer being operated as a golf course, and its
owners may be interested in selling the property; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to protect the taxpayers by determining the value of
this property before agreeing to purchase it.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to (1) contact the owners of the Hawk Ridge Golf
Course to determine their interest in selling the property to the City for a park project
and (2) obtain an appraisal of said property to determine its fair market value.
