Ordinance No. _24-2016_
Ordinance closing and abandoning an alley approximately 20’ by
99.89’ adjacent to 903 Tyler Street, a tract of land out of Block 7,
Floral Heights Addition, Wichita County, Wichita Falls, Texas, which
consists of approximately 1,998 square feet more or less as depicted
and indicated on the attached plat map.
WHEREAS, Floral Heights Community Food Pantry, property owner of 903 Tyler
St., Wichita County, Wichita Falls, Texas has requested to close and abandon said
alley located adjacent to 903 Tyler St., Block 7, Floral Heights Addition, Wichita County,
Wichita Falls, Texas, and,
WHEREAS, all affected utility companies, City departments and adjacent
property owners have reviewed this request and have recommended conditional
approval to close and abandon this alley upon receipt of an executed public access and
utility easement; and,
WHEREAS, it has been determined to be in the best public interest to close and
abandon said alley as herein indicated on the attached Location Map.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
1. The approximately 1,998 square feet more or less alley located
adjacent to 903 Tyler St. as indicated on the attached location and plat map, an
addition to the City of W ichita Falls, is hereby closed and abandoned.
2. In consideration of the receipt of $1,000.00 for the cost of the property,
this ordinance shall approve the closure of the alley and retain the utility
easement and public access agreement.
3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which
this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
