Resolution Authorizing The City Manager To Execute An Amendment
To The Water Purchase Contract With The City Of Burkburnett To
Extend Its Increase In The Contractual Maximum Amount Of Water
To Be Furnished By One Year
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls and the City of Burkburnett have agreed to
a Water Purchase Contract; and
WHEREAS, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality requires all retail
public utilities to provide adequate service under Texas Administrative Code 30,
Chapter 291, and
WHEREAS, the City of Burkburnett requires an additional supply of water to be in
compliance with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality rules; and
WHEREAS, Section 1.9 will be amended to extended by an additional year the
previous contractual maximum amount of water to be furnished to the City of
Burkburnett of 4,000,000 gallons per day (534,045 CF); and
WHEREAS, the Council examined the proposed Amendment to the Water
Purchase Contract between the City of Wichita Falls and the City of Burkburnett.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to execute an amendment to the Water Purchase
Contract with the City of Burkburnett to extend its increase in the contractual maximum
amount of water to be furnished by one year.
