Resolution Authorizing The City Manager To Apply For and Accept A
Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER)
Grant From The U.S. Department of Transportation Under the
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Supplemental
Discretionary Grants For The Construction Of A New Passenger
Terminal Facility At The Wichita Falls Municipal Airport
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has identified the need for the construction
of a new passenger terminal facility at the Wichita Falls Municipal Airport through its
strategic planning process; and
WHEREAS, possible funding for such project may be available from the
Department of Transportation under Transportation Investment Generating Economic
Recovery (TIGER) grants, an element of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act
(ARRA).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute all documents necessary to
pursue, apply for, and accept a Transportation Investment Generating Economic
Recovery (TIGER) grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation, under the
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Supplemental Discretionary Grants,
for the construction of a new passenger terminal facility at the Wichita Falls Municipal
Airport.
